In the early 1980s the original hit version of the song Wittie Visie was released by Surinam singer Iwan Esseboom and his group The Funmasters.
It became the tune that makes both young and old jump to the dance floor on every imaginable party in Surinam (which is situated on the Northern border of Brazil) and crossed over to The Netherlands.
When Grammy Award producer Gregor Salto played his first gig in Surinam around 2008 dj Chuckie introduced him to Wittie Visie:
‘The first time i had a gig in surinam i asked him what would be the best local banger to drop and he passed me the track. Later on my girl suggested that i make my own version and i did years later.’
After some good reactions in the club Gregor contacted Iwan and got approval for the official remix of this tropical anthem.
This song brings sunshine to every dance crowd.
